    Join us for a free, timed 5K run in Anacostia Park! New this year, TRDC’s monthly, timed races will allow students and volunteers to track their running progress on a regular basis as they work to improve their fitness levels and finish times over the course of the year. Races will take place on the first Saturday of each month, except when another TRDC race is scheduled for that month (i.e., Jingle All the Way in December, Cherry Blossom in April, and Mentoring Matters 5K in May).     Monthly mentor training sessions focus on topics such as adolescent development, building and sustaining strong mentoring relationships, and motivating youth to set and achieve running-related goals. Trainings also allow time for volunteers to provide group support to one another, as they navigate the challenges and celebrate the successes of mentorship. Trainings will be held at 8:45am (immediately before practice) on the second Saturday of each month. Trainings will be held outdoors, at the Yards Park, weather-permitting.     BEGIN THE NEW YEAR WITH A FUN AND HEALTHY START!

    Join us at our first Community Practice on Saturday January 10th from 9am to 11am. Students, family, and friends are welcome.     Will we be cheering for not only our charity team and mentors at the Marine Corps Marathon, but our students too?

    Several Teens Run DC students may join our 2014 Charity Team runners to complete the Marine Corps Marathon this year accompanied by TRDC mentors.  Big dreams achieved one step at a time. When commitments are made, we'll let you know and be sure to keep you posted of their progress.  Teens Run DC students:   making strides in their running and in their lives.  

    Teens Run DC hires new staff to start up in August

    BIG NEWS (and good news for Ben, Morgan and our whole community): Teens Run DC staff will grow from two plus to seven beginning in August. Our expanded staff will include a Director of Operations, an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer, and three On Site School Coordinators. More details to follow.
