Teens Run DC provides mentoring and marathon training for at-risk DC youth.  Our goal is to challenge and inspire these youth to develop the skills necessary to complete the marathon and compete in life.

Participation in Teens Run DC is free to all students.  Your contribution will help Teens Run DC pay for running shoes, uniforms, race entry fees and lunches after races and long runs.  It will support training for our Running Leaders and our TRDC Mentors.  Your investment in Teens Run DC is an investment in the future of DC youth and will support these youth towards success in running, in school, and in life.

What your contribution will buy:

  • $10 a safety reflective vest for late afternoon winter runs
  • $35 running uniform (teens run dc technical t-shirt and shorts)
  • $50 one pair of running shoes
  • $100 two pairs of running shoes to last a season
  • $240 entry fee to all 7 races for one student
  • $1025 will cover all expenses for one student to participate in program for one year
  • $5125 will cover all expenses for  a running group (5 students, 1 running leader, and up to 5 individual mentors).
  • $10250 will cover all expenses of one full team (10 students, 2 running leaders, and up to 10 individual mentors).

All contritubutions  to Teens Run DC are tax deductible under the Center for Self Discovery’s 501C3 tax-exempt status as a non-profit public charity.

Benefits of Corporate Sponsorship

Your company’s logo will be proudly placed on the Teens Run DC website and on t-shirts that will be provided to every participant and volunteer.  We are anticipating 80 in total.  These team t-shirts are worn for every weekend practice and at each of our races.  The greatest benefit —  you will be supporting a great cause.
